How to Contribute
Sunrise County Arts Institute
We'll log in the contributions, and with DERC&D will provide you with a letter of thanks for your tax records.
Now you can make a tax-deductible contribution online!
We're live on Razoo, a crowdfunding platform dedicated to non-profits:
Donations starting at $10 are gratefully accepted via credit/debit card or PayPal.
Did you know? Many foundations and government agencies look for local community involvement when they're deciding how to award their grants.
Even if you can just contribute a few dollars, you can make a real difference: not just in the math, but in helping to show the world that we have great grass-roots support!
December 2017-January 2018 Update:
SCAI has made great strides over its first 4 years! And needs your ongoing support.
Right now, we're in the process of re-starting the theater program at Narraguagus Jr./Sr. High School, with the enthusiastic backing of the school, school district, and fellow community organizations. An in-school drama club beginning January 2018, and a May musical production, are in the works. Some project costs need help from YOU, since the school year and its budget year are well underway.
Our success since we began our work here in 2014 has come through a combination of contributions from individuals, businesses and organizations, and substantial volunteered professional time by the founders. We have no paid staff or officers, and minimal operating costs. To be truly sustainable for the future, SCAI needs your help today. To maintain and expand our programs, we look to the continued generosity of our local-to-global community. Whether you live around the corner or “Away," please think of SCAI as a worthy way to express your love of the arts and of community.
There are many possibilities listed here; please take a look:
How Can You Get Involved? Lots of ways...
We have an entirely volunteer administration and staff. The funds we raise go directly into SCAI's programs, especially those for young people. These include private voice lessons, theater productions, writing workshops, community singing opportunities, and residencies by guest artists and mentors from our large circle of distinguished musicians, actor/directors, writers and visual artists.
Many of our neighbors cannot afford the full cost of these programs — about 85% of local children qualify for assisted or free school lunches — so scholarships are essential to involve the people who need and want our services most.
*Tax-Deductiblility of gifts: SCAI is a Maine public benefit corporation. The Down East Resource Conservation & Development Council (DERC&D), has partnered with us as our Federal 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor. This enables us to offer you a tax deduction for your generosity. Whether you can afford to share a little or a lot, together we'll keep SCAI sailing!
Don't wait for "giving season" in November-December! The sooner contributions come in during any year, the sooner we can expand our offerings and our ability to be generous with scholarships.
Thank you in advance for your support of SCAI.
And a special tip of our mascot "Fish Scales"' natty bowler hat to our Charter business and non-profit supporters in 2014-17,
